Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA with Honours in English Language and English Literature, I was selected by Teach First, to complete the Teach First Leadership Development programme and train to be a teacher. I was awarded my PGCE by the University of Warwick and then subsequently completed my Masters qualification at the same institution, reading Educational Leadership (Teach First). I have taught in London and Worcester before joining the team at the British School Warsaw. I was also a volunteer teacher in South Africa.
I find myself utterly absorbed in the different times and societies depicted within texts and relish the chance to discuss these worlds with students; I am equally excited by the creative process itself and enabling students to sculpt their own descriptions and narratives.
Highest Quality Learning
It is my strong belief that every student should be provided with the opportunities to excel. As such, I am a fervent believer in the importance of ensuring that lessons are inspiring, challenging and supportive. I constantly strive to be the best teacher I can be, always building upon, and further developing, the knowledge and skills I acquired in a previous teaching and learning leadership role.
