I joined TBS after spending almost nine years in Asia, teaching Business Studies and Physical Education at the British School in Tokyo, where I founded the Business Studies department, and SJI International, Singapore. In my role as IBDP Coordinator, I am constantly amazed at how the IB Diploma shapes and forms students at TBS into students for the future. The academic rigour of the course, twinned with the holistic nature of CAS, TOK and EE allows students to develop a multitude of skills that they will continue to develop far beyond their university years.
Outside of the classroom, my wife Saki and I have a growing family. My eldest, Jacob, is currently at the Dab campus and loves every minute that he is there. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our second and I am sure they will keep us both very busy in the years to come. I have always been passionate about sport and as a keen footballer and skier it is great to be a little closer to both my boyhood football club (Everton FC) and the mountains (with hopefully endless amounts of fresh powder during the winter).
I am passionate about learning and preparing students for their future, for example enabling students to look at real-life situations from a variety of perspectives in Business Studies.
