I am a UK trained ICT/Computer Science teacher with 17 years of experience teaching various age group from beginners through to Foundation Degree. The last four of which has been teaching internationally in both Kuwait and Egypt focussing on Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE and ‘A’ Level.

I have extensive subject knowledge for both ICT and Computer Science together with a passion for my subjects, this has led to the development of my own personal study website, to support and prepare students for examinations. I work collectively, sharing both knowledge and resources with other team members to ensure best practice with the department.

I grew up in North East England with a childhood ambition of being a professional footballer, having played in the same County Durham team as a future England Captain; this was achieved for a short time before injury ended my playing career at the age of 19!

I have two adult children, with three grandchildren plus a stepdaughter who is studying at Bangor University, North Wales. I enjoy walking, keeping up to date with my subject knowledge, travelling and experiencing new cultures.

I studied Computer Science at university and worked firstly as a graduate programmer and then as a software engineer. I moved into teaching in 1997 having completed my PGCE at Warwick University. Over the past 20 years I have worked in a varied range of schools, each with their unique set of challenges that have allowed me to extend my skills as a teacher and a senior leader. The British School in Warsaw is my first international role and I am very much looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and, to being part of such an amazing school.
