I studied my Bachelor of Music degree in Sydney, focusing on performance of the saxophone and clarinet and Music Technology. I became passionate about wind orchestra and studied conducting with Symphony Australia and under many American professors through the Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association, which led me to studying in Los Angeles and New York.
I love to perform and when I moved to London to teach, I also joined the BBC Elstree Wind Orchestra as a clarinettist and performed in a range of blues and pop bands. I became a Teacher Ambassador for the Royal College of Music while working in London, which was a great honour. I really appreciate the musical history of Europe and decided to base myself in Warsaw to be closer to the birthplace of so many of the great composers, such as Frédéric Chopin. The relationship with Juilliard was a big factor in my choosing to work at The British School Warsaw and I’m excited about the upcoming projects here.
I love to dance and attend classes on salsa, swing, blues and modern jive dancing. My ideal night is one where I can play on saxophone with a Blues band and then do partner blues dancing.
