Joanna Majkusiak

Joanna Majkusiak in class

Polish teacher

I obtained my Master degree in Polish Philology in 1994. I have completed Postgraduate Studies in History of Art in 2013. I took part in various courses and trainings  e. g. “Literature for children and adolescents” and “Impact of visual arts on the literature”.

I worked at The Secondary Polish School for 8 years. I joined The British School, Warsaw in 2001 to teach Polish Language for native speakers. I teach Polish for Primary and Secondary Schools  ( Year 5 – Year 11).

I love reading books – reportages, memoirs;  going to the theatre, visiting art galleries and playing board games and words games  (scrabble, boggle, upwords).

What the students say:

“Mrs. Majkusiak is my favourite teacher because every lesson she provides us with interesting information and knowledge. I always attend them with a smile on my face”.

“ Mrs. Majkusiak is a kind teacher who will motivate you to work harder and achieve the best possible grades for yourself”.

“Mrs. Majkusiak  makes this subject interesting and fun. She is even enthusiastic to commite her free time after school by taking us to the theatre. I really think that she is an experienced teacher. My Polish has really improved”.

“ Her lesson are fun and educating. It is my favourite subject because of Miss Majkusiak”.
