Counseling

Detailed and personalized guidance is given to all students and parents at all stages of the university entry process.  College and career aptitude tests are taken by pupils in Year 11 and Year 12. Individualized feedback to parents and pupils is an important part of the process, used to inform university choices.

SAT preparation and testing

British School of Washington provides SAT preparation each academic year.  PSAT in-house preparatory sessions are offered to all candidates.

College and university application preparation

Students and parents meet regularly with the college counselor who provides advice and guidance through each stage of the application process: Common Application for American colleges and Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) for UK universities.  Additionally universities from around the world visit our campus on a regular basis.
