Today listeners can enjoy podcasts with Daniel Gilbert, founder of an award-winning digital marketing agency Brainlabs, which was named by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s fastest growing companies; Deborah Ellis, activist and critically-acclaimed author; and Lord David Puttnam, Oscar and BAFTA-winning film producer of Chariots of Fire. Released to a worldwide audience, listeners will also include 64,000 students across all 68 of NAEs schools who will tune in weekly to hear their peers take to the microphone.

Andrew Fitzmaurice, Chief Executive Officer of Nord Anglia Education, said: “At NAE we pride ourselves on a global education programme which goes far beyond outstanding academics. This podcast has been a fantastic example of what our students are able to achieve simply with the provision of a creative platform. We’d like to thank our wonderful hosts and all of the guests who took part to share their stories and inspire our students.”

The first seven episodes are co-hosted by secondary school students Eli, Hala, Angelina and Alex across different episodes. Angelina said, “Being one of the hosts was a wonderful experience. I was able to interview very talented, intelligent people and get closer to people I never thought I would. I became more confident with every episode and it was so fun to hear about things from different perspectives. Overall, taking part in this podcast and hearing from people, ranging from Deborah Ellis to Lord Puttnam, has inspired me and even sparked new hobbies, such as writing.”

Future podcast episodes will include Andrew Jack, the Global Education Editor at the Financial Times; Dr Joseph Polisi, the former President of The Juilliard School; and Billy Tan, a Marvel and DC comic book illustrator. The final episode of the series will feature Nord Anglia students interviewing former professional footballer Ebbe Sand who holds the record for scoring the fastest goal by a substitute in a World Cup in just 16 seconds.
