Ailbhe O'Daly

Ailbhe O'Daly, Irish Teacher

Irish Teacher

Ailbhe O’Daly is a Dublin native and has been a primary school teacher since 2011. She studied Natural Science at Trinity College in Dublin after completing her Leaving Certificate at Coláiste Íosagáin. She trained as a primary school teacher at Froebel College of Education in Blackrock after working with students with disabilities attending Trinity College.

Since graduating from Froebel College, Ms. O’Daly has taught as a class teacher for three years and, most recently, as a Learning Support and Resource teacher with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and social skills. As a primary school teacher, she has taught through the medium of both English and Irish. Ms. O’Daly continued her studies at University College Dublin where she graduated with a Master’s in Education (Additional Support Needs) and wrote her thesis on the use and benefits of promoting a growth mindset in the classroom. Her role at NAIS Dublin will be her first teaching Irish only and she looks forward to spreading her love and enthusiasm for the language amongst students, staff, and parents alike.

Ms. O’Daly is also a trained makeup artist and has put her skills to use for various photography shoots and theatre productions. When not teaching, she is in the gym training for powerlifting competitions; cooking; and planning her next adventure abroad.
