Angela Pound

Angela Pound

Grade 5 Teacher

Mrs. Pound started her educational career in Australia and has over ten years' experience in the teaching profession. She studied Education at the University of Canberra majoring in Inclusive Education and then began teaching in the Australian Education system. Following this, she moved to the UK and completed her master’s degree in Inclusive and Special Education from the University of Cambridge.

Continuing her career in Europe, Mrs. Pound took up a teaching and leadership position as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator at a leading English school in Cyprus whilst simultaneously completing studies in Greek Language and Literature at the University of Cyprus. After working in Cyprus for five years, she moved to Poland to work at The British School of Warsaw, a Nord Anglia Education school, where she was posted as a Science and Humanities Coordinator, Year Group Leader and teacher.

Mrs. Pound is passionate about teaching because every day is different and brings with it something unique. Children never stop amazing her. She enjoys inspiring students and make an impact on their lives while watching them grow in knowledge, confidence and skills as global citizens of the future.

She is also an elite archer, having been part of the Australian and Cypriot national teams and participating in World and European championships. Archery is a sport that requires precision, intense focus and patience. These are qualities she tries to bring into the classroom, and jokes that archery is a great tool for helping to keep her students in order! In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, dancing to the rhythms of Latin and Greek music, and spending time with her husband and two children.
