Tanis Tonge

Tanis Tonge, TLA and Primary EAL Teacher

TLA and Primary EAL Teacher

Tanis Tonge is the TLA (Teacher Learning Assistant) and Primary EAL Teacher (English as an Additional Language) at Nord Anglia International School, Dublin. Ms. Tonge is returning home to Ireland after teaching English as an additional language in both Spain and Italy. During her time as an EAL teacher she has worked with students of all levels and ages, from 4 to 84. Her main goal is to help students feel confident and comfortable in speaking and understanding their second language.

She is also part of the After School Club, where students come to relax, do art, play and socialise after a long school day. She also spends some of every day with students in the Early Years level, looking after the youngest students at the school and helping them to learn and grow as people.

Ms. Tonge also has a degree in Analytical Science from DCU, while, in her free time, she enjoys many cultural activities such as singing, art, films and going to the theatre.
