Year 9 and upper seniors were treated to a wonderful concert this morning at Libus campus from Westbourne Grammar School, Melbourne. The orchestra and choir are on their European tour and have performed in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and arrived in Prague yesterday where they will perform tomorrow evening in the centre of town. They will finish their tour in Austria, Salzburg and Vienna.
It was an eclectic mix of choral, orchestral, solo, ensemble and jazz, showing off their wonderful talents and sharing a great variety of music styles for our audience.
Westbourne Grammar School, Melbourne, Australia is home to 1650 students, 400 of whom take part in their music programmes. Students performing today aged from year 9 and above, just like our audience.
A big thank you to them for coming to share their music and passion with us today and they left with high praise for our school, having enjoyed their time and interacting with some of our students during their visit.
