Working and playing individually and in groups, students will become immersed in the experience of heightened language, physical expression, and a uniquely rewarding process of acting. Come join us as we bring the page to life and explore the joys of living vividly and creatively in a variety of theatrical circumstances.
For all Drama majors: The morning will be a series of technique classes to expand your instrument. Through exercises and games, we will stretch, broaden, and strengthen the body, voice, and imagination.
In the afternoon:
Young Artists: Advanced Scene Study. Students will learn to analyse a scene and bring it to life, through rigorous work on classic and comtemporary texts. A selection of scenes and monologues will be presented at the end of the session.
Discovery (Drama minors): Creating a character. This course is an exploration of techniques for creating characters through movement, voice, text, and mask work.
