Kahla holds a BA in Chinese from Connecticut College and a MA in International Education Development from Columbia University, Teachers College in New York.
She has taught EAL to middle, secondary and college age students in both public and private sector schools in the USA, HK, Taiwan and China. Starting her teaching career in the New York City Public Schools system she then moved overseas to Hong Kong where she taught EAL for the English Schools Foundation and in Suzhou, China at Dulwich College.
For the past three years Kahla has taught academic English skills to international students at the University of North Carolina as they prepare for to enter college programs throughout the United States.
She arrived in Thailand in 2018 and is absolutely thrilled to be joining the dynamic and diverse learning community at Regents. Outside of school she enjoys cooking, singing, writing, practicing yoga, time with her family and just about anything outside in nature!
