What an absolutely fantastic International Week we are experiencing at the British International School Hanoi. I have been completely energised by what I have seen and heard this week. Having been out of school on a couple of occasions in the past few weeks it really has been lovely to be focusing my time on the staff, students and parents of BIS Hanoi. On the final school day of International Week the Primary students are experiencing their International Fair with each class having created a stall based on the country that they are celebrating this week. The auditorium is looking fantastic and I am sure the Primary students will have a wonderful day. The Secondary students from Y7 to Y10 will be working together in Houses to solve Global problems facing Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
Tomorrow we will have our very first International Festival which is an opportunity for the school community to come together to celebrate our International identity through:
- Cultural performances on stage
- Food from around the world
- Stalls representing various countries
- Games and Entertainment
As I have mentioned in various ways this week we were honoured to be visited by Mrs. Andrea Leadsom MP and the British Government’s Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. A group of students from both Primary and Secondary gave inspiring presentations to her about the school’s initiatives towards Wildlife Conservation. I would like to thank the following students for their presentations and being such wonderful BIS Hanoi Ambassadors:
I do hope to see many of you tomorrow at our International Festival and have a wonderful weekend.
Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal
