Sport

This week, our CISA Sports program got underway with practices for both U15 Soccer and U19 Volleyball. The athletes came in raring to go and our coaches are working hard to get them ready for the season. Next week, we will have an opportunity to test our mettle with two matches each.

Next week we will also begin our Cross-country program, as well as U11 Soccer, Fun Swimming and SK-Grade 2 Soccer.

We’re thrilled for the beginning of an amazing season of sport at LIS.

Go Red Pandas!

P.H.E.

We are now into our second week in the pool for our Primary students and things are going swimmingly! It’s lovely to see all the smiles in our Aquatic Centre.

Explore China Trips

We’ve had a great response to our Explore China Trips coming up in mid-September. Information and all needed forms are available on Managebac. The Inter-Disciplinary Unit which students will undertake during the trip will add an exciting curricular component to the unforgettable social, cultural and bonding experience. We are finalizing the details for a presentation from our trip provider, Extravagant Yak, during the Meet the Teacher event on September 8th. For any pressing questions, please contact me directly at tom.mccabe@lis-chengdu.com.

Mr. Scofield would like to remind parents that SK classes will begin swimming next week. They will have regular PE on either Monday or Tuesday and then during their second class of the week (either Wednesday or Friday) they will be in the pool. We remind all parents that for swimming, students will need to have their bathing suits, swimming caps and goggles.
