Originally from the United Kingdom, Emily has taught in England as well as Thailand, South Korea and now China.
Emily graduated from the University of York in 2010 with a BA (hons) in History before completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 2013 at Northumbria University. She has since spent most of her career teaching in the English school system specialising in Early Years and Lower Primary School. Emily believes it is a privilege to be part of a young child’s development at this age and inspire their natural curiosity and sense of adventure.
Emily has a passion for including cooperative learning styles in the classroom as well as promoting growth mind-set. She looks forward to exploring the city of Chengdu and greater China. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, watercolour painting and traveling.
