Information and Reminders

Thank you to all parents who attended the Academic Review Evenings. We hope the information provided was useful in helping you to support your child at home and inform you of their next steps.

On Thursday 26th January there will be no CCA’s, this is to allow students and families to get home safely, as we are aware the traffic could be quite chaotic.

We are looking forward to the Chinese New Year Temple Fair on Sunday and hope to see many of you there!

This week, as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations the children will read the story of the Chinese zodiac. They will create story maps to help them retell the story and sequence sentences to form a short narrative. Attention will be focused on ensuring sentences are demarcated.



In Mathematics, we will complete our unit about measurement by comparing lengths using non-standard and standard forms. The children will measure and record their work.

Key vocabulary: long, short, longer, shorter, tall, short, double, half



This week we will conclude our topic ‘freeze it.’ We will evaluate and discuss what we have learned about freezing and melting objects. As part of our Chinese New Year celebrations, the children will take part in various activities. The activities will include, arts and craft, cooking and dancing.
