Overview of next week’s learning

We will be reading the story “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. which reinforces days of the week as well as some counting. We will do lots of activities around this story including Art and Hungry Caterpillar yoga. We will continue to explore concepts of Capacity while playing with containers of various sizes. For our Letters and Sounds focus we will be finishing the trumpet we have been making to sound out words with a long emphasis on the beginning sound. We will start to play “I Spy” which you could also play at home. We will begin with “I spy with my little eye something that begins with “T”. The children will probably need a lot of prompting to begin with!

I hope you enjoy the extra day of the weekend and we shall see you on Tuesday.
