A selection of the photographs that the Year 3 children took on their trip
First we got on the bus and played with our friend next to us on our journey. When we arrived we got off the bus in pairs. 3S and 3B walked along the Bund whilst taking photos of interesting buildings.
3U and 3I took pictures of exciting towers and fun places to go in People’s Square. We saw the Pearl Tower, JW Marriott Hotel, the Government building and the Urban Planning Museum.
“There were buildings that looked like rocket ships and UFOs,” commented Justin.
Thomas loved going under the subway roads to get to the other side. Eduardo couldn’t believe it was so quick to cross under such a large, busy road!
3X and 3P went to Yu Yuan Garden and saw different beautiful statues. There were golden and ruby red temples that looked like charming palaces. We went on a windy bridge and saw golden and white fish swimming gracefully under the bridge. The gardens were beautiful. We saw pink cherry blossom on the trees and ancient Chinese buildings. We were most impressed by the great hall at the end of the gardens and enjoyed having our photo taken under the stage with 3P.
For lunch we went to the Sculpture Park in Jing’an. Some sculptures were spitting water, some had colours and some gave you information. There were also ones of animals.
Olivia in 3U said, “I really liked all the sculptures. There was an immense fox that was made out of straw. That was definitely my favourite.”
We really enjoyed our trip and have taken some great photos of Shanghai to share with our class pals in Zambia and Switzerland.
