Our students also have the chance to take part in the Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard programmes. Your child will explore STEAM subjects using a university-inspired model of learning.

Amazing things happen when you blend the natural curiosity of children with teaching from MIT, one of the world’s most influential universities.

Our in-school challenges encourage students to work together to find innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.

Creativity and thinking ‘outside the box’ lead to discoveries that impact our world in amazing ways. At BSG, we want to develop great thinkers and innovators. And our collaboration with MIT introduces our students to interdisciplinary STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) learning. This lays the foundations for lifelong curiosity and real-world problem solving.

Your child will enjoy the thrill of working with fellow students to tackle the same problems worked on by MIT professors and researchers. For example, thousands of Nord Anglia students from around the world developed filtration devices to be used on Mars after being challenged by Dr Jeff Hoffman, a former astronaut. Each year, our STEAM students show that natural curiosity, when inspired by great minds through our MIT collaboration, can produce mind-blowing results.

Our approach to STEAM learning sees our children explore challenges through university-inspired teaching and hands-on activities. We give our students the space to embrace collaboration and creativity, and to develop the skills they need to thrive in our rapidly changing world.

All our teachers receive expert training from renowned researchers and academics at MIT. Workshops with leading engineers and scientists cover subjects ranging from climate change and bioengineering to space exploration.

Through our partnership with UNICEF, students research, develop and debate solutions to challenges facing society.

Our students are challenged to participate in projects on the Sustainable Development Goals in their schools, or to join Model United Nations.

Our students are inspired to work together to come up with ideas and solutions to make the world a better place.

Our students have their social consciousness raised so they care more deeply about the world and the people in it.

We empower our children to make a difference, both in our local community and globally. Our collaboration with UNICEF helps us do this through challenges and learning materials based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which encourage them to think about how they can effect real change.

The SDGs form the basis of our Social Impact Programme and our annual Global Challenge. This is a chance for our students to tackle environmental projects and make a positive change in the local community – even learning how to turn plants into biofuel. We also use activities surrounding World Children’s Day to educate our students about their rights, how to protect them, and how to advocate for those who may not have a voice.

For students interested in international policymaking, our collaboration enables them to meet and interact with UN and government leaders at the UN High-Level Political Platform (HLPF). Student ambassadors take part in seminars and workshops, and have the chance to debate, speak, and effect change at the UN’s headquarters in New York.
