Model UN

This week, ten of BISC's upper school students took part in an International Model UN conference hosted via Zoom by San Roberto International School in Mexico. They were representing countries and individuals in various committees ranging from Hardy Cross Dillard to Louis Ignacio-Pinto and from the International Court of Justice to the Galactic Senate. Committees discussed issues such as the situation in Kashmir, supporting the survivors of United Nations peacekeeper sexual exploitation and abuse, and protecting the rights of refugee women. A guest speaker addressed the conference on the second day and delegates experienced workshops that covered diverse topics. There was even a ‘fun’ session on Day 3! Congratulations to all the students on their participation in this event and a huge thank you to San Roberto for hosting such a wonderful gathering of young minds.
