NURSERY

Morning session: The school day begins at 8:30am and runs until 11:30am.

Afternoon session: The school day begins at 12:15pm and runs until 2:45pm.

KINDERGARTEN

The morning session begins at 8:30am and the afternoon session finishes at 2:45pm.

The school day begins at 8:00 am until 2:45 pm for Primary students. We encourage pupils to arrive at 7:45 am in order to have time to settle and be ready for their day.

For Primary School, ECAs run fom Mondays to Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. These are Teacher-run ECAs (free of charge). Year 1 pupils are limited to one per week. On Thursdays, we will have ECAs run by external providers where a fee applies. All ECAs are optional. There are no ECAs in the first and last weeks of term.

The school day for Secondary is 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Pupils will need to be at school by 7:45 am so that they can be in their classrooms to start class at 8:00 am.

For Secondary ECAs, we will be offering a combination of free Lunch Time clubs as well as predominately fee-based after-school ECAs. In addition, Secondary School pupils will have squad training for different sports if they are selected for teams. All ECAs are optional.

A strong partnership between parents and teachers is essential to the success of your child at NAIS. We do most of our communication with parents via email, so it is really important that we have your most up-to-date contact details.

The school uses Firefly (our Parent Portal). Each year group also has a Year Blog. These are designed to give you further insight into the learning that is taking place in your child's classroom. Teachers will use this interactively, placing homework and activities on Firefly.

For whole school issues and important dates, all parents will receive a weekly Friday Parent Update by email and this is uploaded to our 'News' section of our website and Firefly.

We post regularly about the School’s activities and events on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This may include external sporting competitions to residential trips to key events in the year including International Day or Prize Giving.

We ask that parents inform the school directly if their child is going to be absent for any reason. Please contact your child's Class Teacher by email even if your child will be absent for a brief period - for example, for a doctor's appointment.
