Tom Daley and Qiu Bo took time out of their busy schedules to visit the school and hold a master dive class with some lucky students.

On their way home from competing in the World Junior Diving Championships in Adelaide, Australia, The British International School Shanghai, Pudong were treated to a special visit from the Olympians.

Appearing together for the first time since the London Olympics, the medal winning divers performed a synchronised dive together, a historic moment for the school and its students. Children were also given an expert coaching session from the Olympians, giving them an insight into the dedication and commitment required to train to such a high level.

Tom Daley said: "I was glad to see so many children doing amazingly well in learning the basic diving skills like jumping forwards and backwards, which normally take a couple of weeks.”

Qiu Bo said: "If you want to learn how to dive, it's better to start as early as you can, but if you just want to make it a hobby, you should be very careful and perhaps even switch to less dangerous activities like swimming.”
