The British School of Beijing, Shunyi Hosts FOBISSEA

13 March 2013

The British School of Beijing, Shunyi is proud to be hosting The Federation of British International Schools in South East Asia and East Asia (FOBISSEA) Primary Performing Arts Carnival for 2013. Between 14-17 March 2013, groups of talented Year 5 and Year 6 students from 14 different schools across South East Asia will be attending the event held at The British School of Beijing, Shunyi.

Over these exciting four days, students will rehearse their instrumental or choral pieces and participate in a variety of diverse workshops which incorporate dance, drama and art. On the final day of the carnival, 300 students will come together for a grand performance which is the culmination of all their hard work over the event. The performance will be held on Sunday 17 March at 2pm at The British School of Beijing, Shunyi which is free and open to everyone who wishes to attend.

FOBISSEA is a regional federation of the leading British international schools in Asia. Each year, an ever increasing range of student events take place which now includes a music festival, a primary performing arts carnival, mathematics competitions, a model united nations conference and a short story writing competition. Through these activities, students from different countries and cultures are able to interact and enjoy working together on common interests.
