Parent Involvement

Parents play a vital role in making the school a better place, and helping students achieve their goals.

A good education is the result of a partnership.

The school can provide lessons and activities to build knowledge and character, but parental involvement is hugely important in nurturing confident, respectful and happy students.

We pride ourselves in building a community that is welcoming, friendly and close-knit. As a result, parents are encouraged to get involved in many aspects of school life.

Families are heavily involved in school activities, from organising community and charity events to helping out with visits and trips. Some parents pass on their experience through talks, while others help co-ordinate classes.

We encourage all parents to contribute to the growth of the school. An elected group of parents known as the School Consultative Group regularly meet with school leaders, while class parents are a channel of communication between parents and the school.

Of course, parents can help by helping their child to learn. Many homework projects encourage parental assistance, and parents can help manage their child's learning via Class Dojo (Primary students), Show My Homework (Yr 7 - 11) and Managebac (Yr 12-13).

Parents who get involved in school life get more than an opportunity to shape their child's school for the better. They also discover new friends, develop new skills, and make a lasting difference to children from around the world.

Friends Of Compass

Friends of Compass International School is in other words the PTA, or Parents, Teachers Association, to which all parents and carers are automatically members, simply by having a child at the school, or being associated with the school in one way or another.

The role of Friends of Compass is to organise community events at each campus - events such as movie nights, treasure hunts, coffee mornings, and our annual Spring Fête. We aim to hold one social event every term giving people a chance to get together and meet fellow parents.

The more parents are involved the more we are able to do and we are always looking for volunteers, even if you can only offer a little help. You can get involved as much or as little as you want, it's up to you, but your invited!.  We meet regularly over a cuppa to discuss ideas.

All parents are welcome to join. Please message the school reception and they will let you know how to get in touch.

Please get involved and help make your child's experiences at school far more enjoyable. Please contact the following email addresses if you are keen to join our FCS at your child's campus:
