1. COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
Families who wish to begin the process of enrollment will need to submit our online application form. Only one form is needed per family.

Your application form will act as a placeholder for available class seats while you complete the application process. Your child will be added to any current wait lists if the class you have applied for has already reached capacity.

Please note:

  • February is our re-enrollment period for currently enrolled students.
  • Fall enrollment contracts for new families are issued between March and September.
  • Mid-year contracts are issued after September.
  • Classes are waitlisted once they reach capacity.

For families who start school mid-year, we have a Tuition Prorate Schedule. All other costs, such as application fees and new student fees, remain the same.

2. SUBMIT SCHOOL RECORDS
Please provide school transcripts/grade reports as well as the teacher evaluation forms that we’ll provide to you.
Once our Business Office receives your online application form, our academic team will then request and review school transcripts/grade reports as well as the teacher evaluation forms that we’ll provide to you.

We understand that some of our youngest students may not have attended school yet and will not have school transcripts. If this is the case, you can skip to step #3. However, if your child is currently attending a school or daycare, we ask that their current teacher or daycare provider please complete and submit a teacher evaluation form.

3. SCHEDULE A STUDENT ASSESSMENT VISIT
Our school day assessment visits are a great way for our teachers to get to know your child better and for your child to get to know more about BISC.
School Day Assessment Visits
School day assessment visits are scheduled for students who are in Foundation Stages (4–5 years old) through High School level (18 years old). This visit is instrumental in helping both parties to determine if BISC is the right fit, as it allows you and your child to experience and learn more about BISC, and for our teaching staff, in turn, to learn more about your child. The duration of the visit will depend on your child’s year group.

Discovery Assessment Meetings for Our Youngest Applicants
Discovery Assessment Meetings are scheduled for students who are currently 18 months–3 years of age. Your meeting will be scheduled during the school week and will be held inside the classroom with you, your child, and the head teacher of your child's current year group.

During this meeting, you'll be able to discuss any further questions you may have about the school day and curriculum, while the teacher gets to know more about your child as they explore the classroom. You can expect this meeting to last around 30 minutes.

Virtual Assessments
We offer a virtual assessment option for families who are not currently living in the Charlotte area or who are unable to visit our school in person.

If our academic team determines that an in-person assessment is necessary, we'll then offer a contract contingent on the student's assessment that will take place during the student's first week of school.

4. SECURE OFFICIAL ENROLLMENT
If our academic team and your family mutually determine that BIS Charlotte is a good fit for your child, and you meet BIS Charlotte's entry requirements, you’ll receive an acceptance letter and the enrollment contract to secure your child’s enrollment.
To officially secure enrollment, you’ll need to sign and submit the enrollment contract and submit the non-refundable tuition deposit of $2,000 per student. *Your deposit is not an extra fee and will be subtracted from the total tuition fees owed.

We look forward to helping you explore your child’s educational future here at BISC and the opportunity to welcome you and your family to our school community!
