A MAKER SPACE READY FOR STEAM DISCOVERY

As a stand-out classroom among our facilities, our spacious Maker Space has been designed to encourage students’ creativity and curiosity through hands-on STEAM activities and projects. Whether your child loves science, building things, or coding, we have a variety of first-rate equipment to support the creation of their own original projects.

Our Maker Space is equipped with:

PREPARING FOR THE IB

VIBRANT STUDY SPACE

Our IB Suite is another stand-out facility exclusive to the study of our IB students in Years 12 and 13. It includes private cubicles, meeting spaces, and a reference area.

Across these flexible areas in the suite, your child can move between quiet study, focusing on assignments or projects, meeting with teachers, or collaborating with peers — just as they will at their future college or university.

FLOURISHING THROUGH THE ARTS

SPOTLIGHTS FOR CREATIVITY

Our performing arts facilities have been designed and equipped to encourage our students’ creativity and expression through dancing, acting, singing, or speaking.

Our bright dance studio, inspired by our Nord Anglia collaboration with the world-famous Juilliard School in New York City, features a professional-grade dance floor, ballet barres, and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Our students from the Early Years through Primary have dance integrated to their lessons, so they learn the foundations of a variety of dance styles. When our students later enter Secondary School, they can participate in dance as an elective.

Our Black Box Drama Studio is another exciting space at BIS Charlotte, where our IB Film students enjoy creating their own productions. They may use professional lighting and a green screen for special effects.

ENERGIZING FITNESS FACILITIES

At BIS Charlotte, we encourage the physical and mental wellness of our students through a variety of sports, athletics, and physical education offerings.

Our facilities include our spacious gym, state-of-the-art tennis courts, slick basketball courts, and a newly built athletics field equipped with soccer, football, and rugby goals. Our students can use all facilities year-round to meet or exceed their “personal best” fitness or wellness goals.
