Succeeding at IB Parent Evening

Last Wednesday, we held our succeeding at IB evening in the IB Suite in which we welcomed parents of our Year 12 students who begin their IB Diploma journey. Our Year 12 students join the diploma programme in a notable year, 2018 being the 50th anniversary of the IB Diploma Programme.

Justin Hughes, IB Coordinator, delivered an overview of the IB Diploma whilst Julie Allan, assistant IB Coordinator outlined the core of the programme- CAS, Extended Essay and TOK. Simon Porter, Director of Learning delivered very useful advice to IB parents, highlighting the importance of student study skills along with other general advice on how our IB parents can best support their son and daughter in their diploma. Emma Harvey, Global Campus Leader took parents through the Year 12 CAS trip to Tanzania which will take place in December.

We wish our Year 12 students the very best of luck as they begin their diploma journey and we very much look forward to supporting them throughout the next two years.
