As part of preparing our IBDP students for their future studies we invite representatives from various universities to come and talk to them. Last Monday we welcomed the president of Quest University, British Columbia, Canada.

As part of preparing our IBDP students for their future studies we invite representatives from various universities to come and talk to them. Last Monday we welcomed the president of Quest University, British Columbia, Canada.

We were delighted to have Dr. George Iwama, president of Quest University, Canada visit us. Dr Iwama outlined Quest University's unique Block Plan system. The system is based on a question the students focus on, much like the IB Extended Essay, and each block or module studied is developed to answer the question. The module is taught in a block for 3.5 weeks, where only one topic is studied. The students then move on to the next module, until the entire degree is finished. Examples might be an Arts degree - in Greek history - students can go to Greece within the 3.5 weeks or study the various aspects within their Question about Greek history.
