It has been a week to celebrate success here in school.  Our Volleyball teams joined our Basketballers in winning their respective tournaments.

Our sports programme under the care of Mr. McCabe, is constantly aiming to provide meaningful opportunities for our sportspeople to uncover and develop their talents and passion.  We are inclusive and want every child to be able to participate in the sporting teams of their choice, and the coaches and PE department work hard to make this happen.  Aligned to this is the development of character, of being humble in victory as well as gracious in defeat, of resilience, perseverance and dedication.  A great example of this was when our U15 Boys volleyball team fought back from being down in their first set, to come back and win.  Of course, we are the first to admit that victory is always welcome, and success is a just reward for our athletes and their coaches - a big thank you to coaches Taylor, Robinson, Rico and Cory for all their efforts tin supporting our students.

We are also proud that one of our students, Xing Li, has received an offer from the prestigious Oxford University.  It is a wonderful achievement, and again well deserved after the work and effort involved.  With a number of UK universities having sent our student’s offers, we now look forward to hearing what offers come from the US university applications.

Finally I will be in the UK next week to attend the annual Nord Anglia recruitment event.  This is a key time for us, as many schools and teachers are looking to next year.  It is imperative that we hire the very best teachers available, and we have been working tirelessly to ensure that we continue to provide the very highest standards of education for your children.
