Dear Parents and Students
As part of the process where we are consulting all sections of the NAISAK community, I met with our Primary School Head Boy, Head Girl and a number of Student Council representatives ranging from Years 4 to 10 last week. I was extremely impressed with their views on our strengths and areas for improvement as a school. They eloquently spoke about what matters most in education and how NAISAK promotes international mindedness amongst our global community. Additional key messages that came from the students were related to the school’s role in preparing students for the future. They also spoke about the benefits they receive by taking part in initiatives such as Global Campus. The fact that our Arabic mother tongue speakers do not take part in IPC and some other lessons due to the requirements for them to study the mandatory Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) subjects was highlighted as something they would like to change if they were given the opportunity.
Following the consultation with students, we met with the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) to discuss all of the feedback we have received from students, parents and staff, and are now entering the final stage where we are busy finalising a draft of our vision and mission.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to make further contributions or discuss our progress.
