Last weekend, BSB proudly presented the Wizard of Oz as the Secondary school production. 36 student actors were joined by makeup artists, musicians and set designers to create an imaginary and exciting spectacle. After three months of intensive rehearsals including several Saturdays, the performers brought the classic story to life on stage.

An innovative approach to set design: the scenes were drawn by student artists and projected onto white curtains. This allowed for more space for the actors and a greater opportunity to explore different media. The colourful and inventive costumes, hair and makeup added to the overall vision, taking you on a journey to magical lands.

The minute the first notes struck, the audience was captivated. The mix of professional and student musicians brought an added depth to the show. And, last but not least, our amazing actors skilfully delivered their lines, learned original choreography and sang their hearts out to bring the show to the audience.

For those that were privileged to be there, a show never to be forgotten! Please enjoy the photos from the performances.

Student actors were interviewed by Beijing Kids magazines. Please find the link to their article below.
