I received my undergraduate degree from Roger Williams University in May 2017, and was incredibly fortunate to accept a position at BISB immediately following my graduation. I graduated as a double-major in Anthropology/Sociology and History, and worked for four years in college as peer writing tutor. Some of my other professional experiences include various internships, work as an office assistant at a summer camp in New Hampshire, and serving as a social science research assistant.

    College Counselor

    Ellen Boucher

I received my undergraduate degree from Connecticut College and a Master of Education in Counseling from Plymouth State University. I have had a variety of professional experiences starting with Middle and Elementary School counselor positions at small public schools in New Hampshire. From NH, I moved to the southeastern United States, working as a counselor at a large High School with a diverse student body just outside of Athens, Georgia. That role marked my introduction to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. After five years in Georgia, I decided to pursue something that had always intrigued me – working at schools abroad. I spent two years at the Rabat American School in Morocco as a counselor for grades six through twelve and three years at the Jakarta International School in Indonesia working with students in grades ten through twelve. Both schools offer the IB program. Working at overseas schools allowed me to learn about the application systems and programs/degrees offered at colleges and universities in several different countries. In 2013, I returned to the United States to be close to family. My first year back, I was a High School counselor at an IB charter school on Cape Cod I then worked as the Associate Director of College Counseling and as a dorm parent at a boarding school in NH. I am a licensed school counselor in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Networking with college admissions representatives and other counselors in the field is something I truly enjoy.
