I have worked in the mental health field for about nine years, from my first internship in college to the very recent past.  These positions ranged from counselling, behavioural, and mental health interventions, to working as a teaching assistant at a therapeutic high school.  I loved the opportunity to work with so many different students and help them create plans and goals for their education, as well as their future lives.

I chose to come to BISB for an opportunity to work with students in a different way, but still be able to help them achieve their goals in education.

I graduated from Suffolk University in May 2014 and began working at the British International School of Boston one week after graduation. At Suffolk I studied international relations and did a semester at Charles University in Prague.

During my college career I held many jobs with an educational focus, including working at Jumpstart, teaching swimming lessons at M.I.T, and working as a Retention Scholar at Suffolk’s International Student Services Office. I also interned at The African Food and Peace Foundation, where I focused on educating women and girls in rural Uganda.

University admission has been my home for the last eight years. I’ve worked specifically with international students at Newbury College, Berklee College of Music and most recently at Emerson College. I am passionate about advising all students during their journeys to college.

I am drawn to helping both american as well as international students since the time when I was considered international during my year abroad in New Zealand. I think there is so much to be learned cross culturally and so much to give as well.
