Before coming to America, I went to Kingston University where, much to my parents’ horror, I seemed to be an eternal student. After just over 8 years, I came away with a degree in Education, a degree in Psychology, and a Masters in Education and Educational Leadership.
I moved to America in August 2002, making me the second longest serving member of staff. Prior to this, I taught for 18 years in three schools in the UK. For 14 of those years I was Head of the Lower School in an independent primary school in London.
When I first moved onto the international circuit, I decided to go back into the classroom, teaching in both Reception and Year 1 for three years. When I started at BISB the school was located in Dedham. Before accepting the role of Vice Principal, I was Head of the Primary School at BISB for several years. I don’t teach nearly as much as I would like anymore, but I have really enjoyed watching the school grow and develop.
