Girls Basketball Season Ends with Great Effort, Third-Place Win for JV

  • British International School of Chicago, South Loop | Private School Chicago

Well done to the Varsity Girls Basketball Team! All season the girls played with great passion and determination, always enjoying themselves and never dropping their heads in defeat.

We’re so proud of every team member:

  • Kemi for taking on the role of Team Captain
  • Lucy for scoring the majority of points
  • Chloe and Bridget for adding great value to the team, even after a late start to the season
  • Grace, Amani, Alina and Abeedah in Year 8 for their commitment to learning and developing
  • Drew, Siveen and Fay-Ling for fantastic sportsmanship and continuous effort

We're also proud of the Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Team for winning third place in the league! The lady Bulldogs entered playoffs as strong favorites with a record of 14-1. In the semi-final game against Lycee Francais, our opponent hit the court determined. The girls fought hard, but fell to the Flames by 15 points. We re-grouped for the third-place match against Anshe Emet and walked away with a 22-16 win…and the trophy!

Well done to Georgia, Colette and Francesca for their excellent attacking abilities and to Emily, Sasha and Jordan for outstanding defense. Congrats to all the Varsity players this season: Samantha, Colette, Paula, Chloe, Viobelle, Emily, Francesca, Kiran, Rania, Emily, Zoe, Sasha, Georgia, Jordan and Chloe.
