Dover Court Food Drive: Let’s CAN Hunger Together!

In support of FoodBank SG providing food to those in need in Singapore
 

DCIS is hosting a food drive to support the UN Global Goal to have ‘Zero Hunger’ around the world.

We have been assigned this challenge by Nord Anglia Education’s Global Campus and are very excited to host this throughout our school. We are working with ‘FoodDrive SG’, an organisation that works to deliver food to people in Singapore who are in need.

FoodDrive SG will come and collect the food boxes at the end of the drive and will later distribute them across the island.

WHY?

NAE has created a partnership with UNICEF who developed the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, 17 goals to achieve by 2030. They have set all NAE schools the challenge to create projects in their local communities to positively contribute towards these goals. As a school community, we have to join hands and work together to achieve these goals, for a better, safer and more secure future.

WHEN?

The food drive will take place each morning from Monday 20^th to Friday 24^th March, 2017.

WHERE?

Near the front steps from 8.15-8.30am each morning.

WHAT TO BRING?

FoodBank SG suggest to donate any non-perishable food items. For example, canned goods, rice, oil, pulses, noodles, biscuits and sauces.  Food must have at least 3 months before expiry.
