This week at An Phu Primary Campus, Christmas has really taken full flight. Productions have entertained us all, presents are under the tree and impending parties are being prepared for next week.
It was a real pleasure to attend the whole school Seasonal Spectacular at Ben Thanh theatre on Thursday with over 300 children from across the 3 BIS campuses taking part in this celebration of all things musical and all things Christmas. It was lovely to see how all of the children had grown in both their stature on stage and in their musical abilities as they continue their journey through BIS.

EYFS Christmas Concert - 'Robin's so Excited!'
There were lots of excited children (and robins) for the F3 Christmas production on Friday. For many of these children, it was the very first time that they had performed on stage to such a big audience and as always, they did us proud.

F2 Children Visit the Secondary Science Labs
One of the great advantages of being part of a school such as ours is the ability to share expertise and experiences across both the primary and secondary phases. Recently, our F2 children have been discovering the wonders of Science by venturing over the bridge and taking part in some amazing scientific experiments. Thank you to Ms Smith for allowing this to happen.

What Makes the Perfect School? - Year 6 Dream School Projects
What would make a 'perfect' school? If you could build a 'dream' school, what would it look like and what would be taught there? These are just some of the questions that our Year 6 children were asked at the beginning of their 'Dream School' project.
Find out the ideas that they came up with in this post by Chris McKelvie, Y6 classteacher and Milepost 3 Leader.
Following another very successful term of Extra Curricular Clubs, one new club under the heading of 'Community' has really caught our eye. Teaching a new language to children requires expertise, patience and creativity. Expecting this of our Year 5 and Year 6 children to other children from our community partners is a huge challenge. The English Leadership club requires our children to take charge of the learning of others and has been very successful in developing essential leadership skills that are required in our modern world.
Read the children's reflections of what they have learned this term in the post by Samantha Baker, EAL teacher and Community Service Leader.
