On Monday, March 14th, the U19 girls football team played against the Australian International School (AIS) and won the match with a satisfying score of 5-2.
The BIS girls quickly established our domination as soon as the match began and ended the first half in the lead with 2-1 (both goals were made by Gabby Cullen). The second half started and soon enough Lhasa Pereyra scored another goal. With two goals apart, AIS started to add more pressure and eventually scored themselves another goal. Reluctant to let AIS balance the score, BIS girls became even more determined. As a result, Caitlyn Brown added two more goals to end the match.
Some beautiful interlinking play and fantastic goals were made. All the players gave their best effort from the start until the end of the match. Winning this match will hopefully boost the team energy and confident as we take on the Championship next week!
