APP Chat with our Staff – Holly Johnson, F3 Teacher

Here we chat with Holly Johnson who is  an F3 Teacher here at BIS HCMC. Although Holly is not new to the school, she is starting at a new campus, moving from TX to APP campus so we wanted to find out how she's getting on so far. My first impressions of AP1 are a feeling of community, supportive colleagues and parents, and most of all fun!

Very delicious food!

What are your first impressions of BIS HCMC?

Well, as I have taught at TX for the past 3 years first impressions are difficult to remember. However, my first impressions of APP are a feeling of community, supportive colleagues and parents, and most of all fun!

What new experience have you had since you arrived in Vietnam?

I have had many wonderful experiences since moving to Vietnam so it’s hard to choose! Some highlights have been trekking in Sapa, canyoning in Dalat, caving in Phuong Nha and relaxing on the beaches of Phu Quoc. One experience I will never forget is being stranded on the Saigon bridge, in torrential rain, pushing my broken motorbike to a mechanic – of course, within minutes a helpful person offered me a push, gave me a cup of coffee and fixed my bike! Needless to say this has happened many more times since then!

If you were writing a postcard to friends back home, what would it say?

Wish you were here xox
