PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR PLANET

We’re committed to conservation, sustainability, and doing everything we can to protect the world around us.

Our Sustainability Coordinators lead our Environmental Review and Action Plan, which challenges students to find creative solutions to environmental challenges, including reducing waste and recycling. Your child will have the chance to become a PADI-certified diver and support coral reef clean-ups, too, which will inspire a lifelong connection to the marine environment.

Thanks to our students’ dedication, innovation, and hard work, we’ve won multiple awards, including the National Wildlife Federation’s prestigious Eco-School Green Flag Award.

OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH UNICEF

Through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF, your child will learn about the challenges facing our planet and take action to address them. Activities surrounding World Children’s Day teach our students about their rights, how to protect them, and how to advocate for those who may not have a voice. And through our Model United Nations programme, your child will research, debate, and propose solutions to pressing global issues.

CITIZENSHIP EXPEDITION TO TANZANIA

Our expedition to Arusha in Tanzania is the adventure of a lifetime. Our students work with changemakers from Nord Anglia schools across the world on vital community projects, learn about the environment, and understand the importance of sustainable development. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, our trip to Tanzania builds our students’ confidence, independence, and sense of social responsibility.

Local communities

It all starts in our local communities, where Nord Anglia schools work closely with local charity and NGO partners to focus on important causes. We want our students to experience first-hand the challenges communities often face tackling issues, and to understand how to influence and drive change as individuals and as part of bigger teams, too.

These experiences help our students develop resilience, teamwork and the creativity to think ‘outside of the box’ — important skills they’ll need in the future workplace. We also encourage our students to deliver meaningful change through local outreach activities, including our Share A Dream programme which teaches social responsibility through fundraising and volunteering about issues that students truly care about.

Every year, St Andrews Bangkok students support local causes tackling the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. In the last year alone, our students:

  • Volunteered over 643 hours for local community projects
  • Raised $140,273 for local charities.
