CISA Cross Country Running:
What an awesome day yesterday! A great big thanks goes out to the LIS bus drivers who did the safety on the trail, to the LFA for doing an awesome job with the bake sale/ food booth, Julia and the Ayi’s and Mr. Li squared, and of course our scorekeeper extraordinaire Stephen D, and our nurse and the awesome PE staff! Thanks to all the teachers who brought their kids up to cheer on the runners! I saw some great spirit and our kids were cheering for runners from other school just to encourage them! Thanks to the teachers who ran the Cross Country club and encouraged the kids in their training!
LIS entered 56 runners and had 19 finishers in the top 4 which gave LIS the highest average of all the schools (33.9%). We had 4 firsts, 6 seconds, 5 thirds and 4 fourths! Congratulations to all the runners as we had several personal bests and some great competitive fun with our friends from the other CISA schools.
Season two is up and running… and looking good!
Children from SK – grade 12 will be taking the 3:30 buses home on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the next club season which starts on 14 November.
WOW… what a turn out for the LFA bake sale extravaganza! Thanks to all the moms and dad that came out and did so much work to support the students at this event!
If you would like to join in on the fun with the Leman Family Association or lend a hand please email Maggie 淑烜 鄧 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ACAMIS & CISA Season 2/ U19 Basketball & U15 Volleyball:
Season 2 has started and our practices and games are underway! We have had a huge turn-out for the U15 volleyball and boys basketball but are struggling to get a girl’s U19 team together for CISA. We fully expect to have an ACAMIS team but may not be able to get the CISA team ready.
Yesterday we played QSI in in U19 Boys basketball and U15 boys & girls volleyball. All three of our teams won their matches and are definitely showing great skill development! Keep up the good work coaches!
Major League Baseball – Bang Sport:
I spent last Saturday at a well organised mini-baseball tournament. There were many teams from around the province. The Organisors have come to Leman and checked out our facilities.
I have attached the Bang Sport MLB information to the Newsletter. Please feel free to contact them should you be interested for your child. Click here to know more.
Ms. Felicia’s & Mr. Scofield’s PE classes are finished cross country running and Ms. Felicia is moving into net sports while Mr. Scofield is doing individual games with the kids. The G 8’s will be working on net sports (volleyball) while the 9’s & 10’s will be doing invasion games (basketball).
