Explore China Trip to Kangding and Tagong – Grade 11

The grade 11 students have been fund raising and collecting donations, thanks to Ms. Shill, and it looks like we are ready to get going. This Sunday the students will set out early in the morning for the mountains of Kangding. We will spend a few days there hiking and getting acclimatized to the elevation then we will head up higher (4800 meters) to Tagong. We will be visiting a migrant school to spend some time with the kids and to make our donations.

Thanks to the LFA for their generous donation for the migrant school kids.

ACAMIS Swimming:

What a great weekend of swimming in Souzhou for our 7 ACAMIS swimmers! The coaches, Mr. Ben & MS. Allerie, were very happy with the kids and said they represented the school very well. All our students beat their personal best times and reflected their coaching/ training in their technique. There were over 500 hundred swimmers from International schools across China, Mongolia, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Way to go everyone! Looks like we are ready for CISA swimming on the 17 April in the LIS pool!

The annual CISA art exhibit hosted by the “WM Art Gallery” was a great success! Thanks to Mr. Stephen D and Ms. Kirsty … it was awesome!  Thanks to all the parents and staff who came to support the event! We had a really good turn-out!

CISA Poetry Slam:

The annual CISA Poetry slam will be held on 16 April starting at 6:00 pm hosted by “Imagine X City Zoo Coffee”. This year we will have 6 ES, 6 MS and 6 HS students participating. Please come and watch the kids and enjoy the event.

Please see the attached flier for details.

ACAMIS & CISA Season 3 sports:

This week our teams played at QSI. Our B & G basketball teams both won quite handily. Over at the soccer pitches our boys redeem themselves from their earlier loss and the girls, while winning at the half, ran out of gas and came up short. Great games by all!
