Haniful was born and raised in London, he comes to Léman with a background in teaching secondary Mathematics. He currently teaches Mathematics and Economics to our IB Diploma Programme students, as well as teaching Mathematics to Year 11.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The University of Birmingham, Hanif went on to become an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. It was after moving to South Korea to teach that he realised that he was passionate about education and decided to return to the United Kingdom to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Hanif also brings to Léman an element of career-focus for our students with his valuable industry experience and insights into the financial services sector.
In teaching mathematics, Hanif is determined to make a stereotypically daunting subject more accessible for students, so that learning can be both enjoyable and practical. He is very keen to create a cooperative and safe learning environment where students embrace mistakes, see them as an opportunity to grow, and learn from them. Outside of school, he enjoys playing football, hiking, exploring new places and cultures, and is excited to learn Chinese.
