Primary Campus Weekly Update

Primary Campus Weekly Update - Primary Campus Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

What a fantastic array of costumes and characters arrived at school on Tuesday 30th April. The much-anticipated celebration for World Book Day was superb. Through competitions, photos, and videos both children and staff shared their love of reading. These special days have such a lasting impact on our students, and they really value and benefit from these additional learning experiences.

Battle of the Books – Last week took part in the Semi-Final for the Battle of the Books competition, where the children answered book trivia questions against 5 other schools.

It was a rigorous event, with tough competition and very challenging questions. Although they didn’t get first place, I’m sure we can all agree they did a fantastic job!

A huge thank you to Ms. Bates, our librarian for her support in this, and please join me in congratulating the children on a job well done! Not only did they join a nerve-wracking competition, but they also read 20 brand new books over the last few months.

  • Sanvi (5A)
  • Charlotte (5D)
  • Lilia (5E)
  • Lachlan (5E)
  • Hailey (6A)

  • Kayan (6E)
  • Mark (6E)
  • Yash (6E)

  • Kotona (6E)

Special thanks also go to Emma (6A) and Eugene (5B) for their role as student coaches. They also read all 20 books and helped prepare and quiz their teammates. Ms. Bates is so proud of them for their great attitudes, competitive spirits, and contagious enthusiasm. They were amazing representatives of our school!
