Principal Wilson Surprises Class of 2020!

It started with Principal Wilson saying "I have an idea! Let's take a road trip, drive 350 miles in one day and celebrate each and everyone of our students, hand deliver their Graduation invitation, a celebration cake and take some fun selfies".

It started with Principal Wilson saying "I have an idea! Let's take a road trip, drive 350 miles in one day and celebrate each and everyone of our students, hand deliver their Graduation invitation, a celebration cake and take some fun selfies".

So that's what we did. Two teams of staff, one led by Principal Wilson and one with our world class Head of Year 13, Mr Martin & world class IB Coordinator, Mr McHugh, took a road trip, collectively clocking up 26 hours drive time, over 350 miles, to surprise and make some really rather special and unique magic memories for our Class of 2020. Our world class team hand delivered formal Graduation invitations, a celebration cake & lots of fun selfies!

Of course, special thanks go to our special operations team, who behind the scenes, worked out all details and very complicated logisitcs. Our creative BIS Houston 'command centre' made this happen - seemlessly - the dream team!

We can't wait to celebrate Graduation with each and everyone one of our awesome Year 13's at their formal Graduation! With the school building closed, this year our Graduation will take the form of a 'drive-in' on our school campus, thanks to local developer, Dan Naef, from Rise Community at Cane Island who are providing their 18 wheeler giant cinema. Our unique drive-in cinema Graduation experience will mean each graduate will walk across the Rise Community Cane Island outdoor stage to collect their diploma whilst being streamed onto a 20ft screen. Definately different and memorable! We feel priveleged to have such a great supportive community in our midst.

Our Head Boy, Alex & Head Girl, Maryam will follow tradition planting their Class of 2020 Tree in our Graduation Orchard. This year our Nord Anglia Education students have chosen a peach tree.

All while practicing safe socially distancing and carefully following Gradution guidelines issued by Texas Govenor Abbott.

Congratulations to our Year 13 Class of 2020 - there is no limit to what you will all achieve We can't wait to see where the future takes you!
