As part of our IPC Project Work unit on ‘Buildings’, the children had to create a 3D model of a famous building for their homework.

Some children chose to create a building that they have learnt about in class. Others chose to conduct some research and find out about different buildings. Using resources from home such as paper, tape, boxes and Lego, parents and children worked very hard together to create a building. Some examples included; Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Wembley Stadium, The Pyramids of Egypt and Marina Bay Sands.

The Year 2 teachers were blown away with what the children produced. A mini show case was held where other children and staff were invited to see these creations. The Year 2 children took great pride in sharing their buildings and facts with other people.

I think you will agree that we have fabulous architects in Year 2!
