Our Trip to the Animal Shelter

On Tuesday 24th November Class 1B went to the Animal Shelter in Dubravka.  First we went by bus to the Animal Shelter. Then we went inside to look at the pictures of the animals.  Mrs Janka from the shelter introduced us to a dog named Sara who was black. Then she told us stories about the dogs who had lived at the shelter and people who had adopted them.

Some people are really mean to animals and the shelter helps the animals. Next we went outside to see the puppies, cats and dogs who are waiting to be adopted.  She showed us how they feed the animals, give them water and they give them soft beds (shelters). Animals also need exercise.  People can come and take the dogs for a walk.  Finally they gave us calendars and stickers with pictures of animals from the shelter.  Then we went back to school by bus.  It was a good trip.
