Eco-committee

In the assembly on Friday 20th November, the Eco-Committee launched their new focus for this year: waste. After a brief overview by Jacob Kim and Wensi Lin and the revealing of the new banner by Arisa Hikosaka a representative from RENVIRO was introduced.

This year we will be working with this company to improve the amount we recycle at school. In the past we have recycled paper but this year we will increase our scope by recycling plastic too. More specifically, we will be targeting plastic bottles. RENVIRO have put yellow bins in many of the classroom and in public areas such as the dining room for you to dispose of any plastic bottles. These will then be collected at the end of each week and recycled, being used to make anything from new plastic items, such as bottle and cup to t-shirts and rucksacks.
Please support us by using the yellow bins and using them only for plastic bottles.
