It was particularly special because amongst all of the 'polished to perfection' performances that we have grown accustomed to at our BISB Concerts, we also had glimpses of the novice musicians who are just in the early stages of their learning and who were getting to grips with the ensemble repertoire in front of them. It was great to see these young new learners perform with concentration and confidence for the first time and with such clear pride and enjoyment of their work. This event was an appreciation of classwork, a chance to celebrate the excellent work which is produced by our students every day in school and of which they are very proud.
The Summer Showcase was also an opportunity for the school to come together as one voice and to sing together with joy. It was lovely to see see such confidence in the students, singing with passion and unity across all of the year groups. The sense of community was apparent and made it a very memorable experience.
Many thanks to Miss Mably, Mrs Radoja, Miss Bea and all of the Secondary teachers for their support in creating a great afternoon of entertainment.
