Learning Detectives

Year 3 have been learning about learning. We had visitors in from around the school and have been looking at the learning profile to think about how we are enquirers, risk takers and communicators. It’s been great listening to how Mr. Cook, Mr. Farthing and Mrs. Hatinova are still learning and how they enjoy it.

We also worked hard on a very secret mission for Mrs Warmington. She set us the challenge of finding out how learning takes place around the school. Having talked about what learning might look like, we took to the corridors and walked around the school, we discovered lots of learning happening in lots of different ways!

I really enjoyed being a learning detective… I saw lots of learning – Seungyeon Han
In most classes, children were talking to help learn from each other - Louise Guilbaud
I discovered lots of children were using the computers to learn – Jin Sung Park
Some children were playing games to learn German words – Sara Cristau

This week we are going to think about how we can apply our knowledge of learning to become good teachers, watch out parents, you are about to become the pupils…
